An initiative to support Brunei's farmers and growers in response to Covid-19
Following the announcement of temporary closures of several marketplaces (Tamu) in Tutong and Seria as one of the precautionary measures to contain the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd is proud to introduce the 'Buy Local Produce' Centre.
The main objective of the 'Buy Local Produce' Centre is to ensure the incomes of local farmers and market vendors will not be severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative will also help to stabilise the prices of agricultural produce such as vegetables and fruits; while promoting continuity in agricultural farming locally.
Through this initiative, Ghanim International Corporation will assist local farmers and market vendors in marketing and selling their local produce, which are normally sold in the marketplaces, to local buyers such as supermarkets, restaurants and the public.
